HomeShow-2005, an exclusive exhibition of furniture, electronics, home appliances and home décor, will be held at the Winter Garden of Dhaka Sheraton Hotel on June 9 - 11 2005 . Triune Exhibition and Event Management Services (TEEMS) is the Lead Organiser of the event.

Hafiz Uddin Ahmad, Bir Bikram, Minister for Water Resources will inaugurate the exhibition as Chief Guest, while Barkat Ullah Bulu, Advisor to the Ministry of Commerce will be present on the occasion as Special Guest. Abdul Awal Mintoo, President, Federation of Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industries (FBCCI) will grace the occasion as the Guest of Honour. K.M. Akhtaruzzaman, Chairman, Bangladesh Furniture Industries Owners Association will preside over the inaugural function.

Eastern Bank Limited and Otobi Limited are the Co-Sponsors of the HomeShow-2005.

In total 27 companies will be participating in 57 stalls and 2 pavilions representing various local and international brands of furniture, electric, electronic and home appliances and a good number of financial institutions.

Last year, TEEMS arranged a Furniture Fair for the first time in Bangladesh , which was a resounding success.

Kazi Wahidul Alam, Chairman of HomeShow-2005, in a press meet said, ‘We are holding the fair to highlight the progress Bangladesh has made in all these sectors. We all know that beside world-known appliances, products imported and used in Bangladesh , materials assembled in Bangladesh are widely used and accepted. These gained appreciation for their quality, designs and services.

He also said, ‘This exhibition will be a platform where we can see, evaluate and enhance our quality in the fields of furniture, home appliances and home decor. We hope that our participants will be able to focus their new products and enhance their qualities. It will also enhance scope of export as well.'

He said, ‘The HomeShow-2005 is expected to draw a large number of consumers as the exhibition is expected to offer discounts and renowned financial institutions will offer on-the-spot loans to make their purchases easier.'
